This assignment has two parts: 1) Provide your introduction to the class, and 2) Discuss Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s letter.

Paragraph 1. Introduction (100-150 words) - In a well-written paragraph, please introduce yourself. A college-level paragraph is five to seven sentences. Be sure to include:
Your first and last name (and a nickname if you use one) 
Your college major (or if none, your field of interest) 
The city and state in which you live 
Then tell us what you wish to share (hobbies, family, work, etc.).

Paragraph 2. Dr. King (150 words minimum) -
In the Ethics textbook/smartbook read Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s Letter from a Birmingham Jail. Discuss the difference between just and unjust laws as outlined by Dr. King. Use your own words to describe and define just and unjust laws. Include a quote from the portion of the letter that you determined best characterized just and unjust laws. Provide in-text citation(s), where appropriate.
Explain an unjust law on the books right now, anywhere in the world, that you believe is unjust based on these criteria. What is it and why is it unjust? Use proper in-paragraph citations (quotation marks and citation) to earn credit for the post.

In his letter, Dr. Martin Luther explains to his readers the reasons for his arrest because he wrote it while in jail. He explains to them why the reasons are unjust. Therefore, he delves into providing insights into morally just and unjust laws. The Birmingham law demands that one obtain a parade permit which does not concur with Dr. King's reasons for going to the city. Therefore he is under arrest for the wrong reasons because he traveled to Birmingham to address the public through his speech on the continued defiance by the government of the Supreme Court's orders.
