Many would agree that music entertains them. In particular, music has a universal language. Entertainment involves something that gives individuals enjoyment. Listening to music decreases people’s stress levels and changes their mood. In addition, music significantly affects individuals’ thinking and behavior. For instance, happy and rhythmic music enables people to have cooperative behaviors. Music not only entertains people but also influences their thinking and behavior.
Entertainment entails getting enjoying something. In that light, listening to music make people happy. Individuals like different types of music, namely hip hop, R&B’s, pop, soul, or gospel. Notably, music is a reflection of things happening in society. Many people associate songs with something they like or their favorite events. For instance, individuals are likely to remember songs that played during their wedding or anniversaries. As such, listening to such songs help people to reflect on the good things that happened during that event. Listeners become happy and temporarily forget about challenges they might be passing through at that moment. Music carries away individuals’ minds, creating enjoyment. Those who listen to the gospel get crucial spiritual messages that relate to their lives. Numerous spiritual rituals are accompanied by songs (Avramova). Some songs quote biblical verses, and listening to them gives individuals meaning and purpose in life. As a result, music entertains people by reminding them about things they love.
