Homelessness is a perennial problem that affects multitudes in the American citizenry. A plethora of statistical studies affirm that Americans rank homelessness among the most dominant socio-economic problems that the nation continuously faces. High unemployment, unequal health care distribution and increasing crime rates in some states are the other problems. It is evident that the dire need to find a Catholicon to this problem is inescapable. Utilizing resources to alleviate the grave effects of homelessness is, therefore, the nucleus of implementing multiple ideas towards it. There are different solutions that can facilitate the homelessness alleviation process with the consideration of the modern nature that the problem embodies. The application of effective solutions will expedite the eradication of homelessness to socio-economically empower the society for a better America.

The optimization of supply and demand on American homes is proposal that can alleviate the homelessness problem. Millions of vulnerable Americans become homeless due to their financial incapability to afford housing. Providing affordable homes is thereby the ultimate solution to curbing this problem by targeting the affected population groups (Kelkar 5). A large proportionate of the homeless people are usually immigrants from war-torn nations. Introducing an efficient housing service that provides affordable homes can eliminate this predicament for many Americans. (Henwood and Padgett 171) For instance, Canada invented an online portal christened as HOME (Housing Opportunities & Marketplace Exchange) that aids immigrants in searching for their convenient homes in the Toronto region (Kelkar 8). The portal originated from an influx of Syrian immigrants estimated at 25, 000 in December 2015. The portal is functionally user-friendly. It provides a list of many houses that an individual or business can choose depending on their financial capability. Users can directly reach to the landlords or find donors that are giving out their homes without any charges.
