Henry's David Thoreau's cabin captured many people's imagination when it was first published in Walden in 1854, Henry’s cabin is a simple cabin that provides a perfect atmosphere when recuperating, after a long day. In his books , Henry used vivid images to describe his cabin and the purpose of building a small cabin in the woods next to the Walden pond. In his description, the cabin was built on a hill above the back end of the Walden Pond. He decided that he would live on a slightly overgrown slope above a cove. His cabin had a distant view of the railroad that passed next to the pond.
Henry's cabin is shingled and plastered, it is an eight –feet posts, with a garret and a closet. The cabin has two trap doors. During summer, the rails from the railroad shine in the morning sun and birds freely move about the cabin roof. The cabin is a small dimension with a peaked cottage roof. The cabin is surrounded by lovely stacks of rocks. Henry's cabin is plain and simple. Since Henry, preferred spending his time outside, he needed a simple, quiet place to spend time while writing changes in nature. He loved birds, plants, and the trees, Henry's list of the things in his cabin includes a few things like tools for farming, a bed, a small writing desk a table three chairs.
Henry's cabin is a one-roomed house that is ten feet wide and fifteen feet long. The cabin is made of old wood, bricks and small windows that invite the sun in the room every morning. The materials used were recycled, since he liked living a simple life, inside the cabin he includes a fireplace, a table, a desk, one bed and three chairs. He explained his reasons for having three chairs " I had three chairs in my house one for solitude, two for friendship, and three for society."
The cabin surrounding included a modest bean field that keeps him busy in the morning. He spends most of his afternoon and evening in the cabin mediating, reading or walking in the countryside. The cabin is surrounded by forests, ponds, rivers, and fields...
