In Jon novel into the wild, Christopher goes on a journey that ultimately leads him into the wilds of Alaska, where he meets his death. This journey to the wild makes the reader have a mixed reaction. Some believe that he displayed the characters of transcendentalist, while others believe that he was mentally ill. Therefore I would say that his behavior of heading to the wilds portrayed that he was a fool who only thinks about himself since a hero puts others first and not themselves. Hence we shall discuss the instances that I think Christopher McCandless portrayed his foolishness.
The act of going into the wild portrayed that he was running away from the responsibilities. Chris McCandless wanted to recognize what it felt like living in a place away from duties and suffering. This actively demonstrates that he was very selfish. He wanted to run away from his parent and family, claiming that they wanted to control him. All he wanted from his parent was unconditional love and attention; however, he decides to leave for Alaska when confronted. Despite the boy having a lot of talent and knowledge, he makes the wrong choice due to his arrogance since he lacked somewhat that made him reason things through this acts of foolishness leads him to lose his life.
