Unemployment is affecting the significant number of developing countries globally. The current scenario markets can't offer employment opportunities to the rapidly growing populations. Although the governments make various attempts to curb the issue of unemployment, these efforts can't match the current demand in the nations. For instance, the rate of unemployment is significantly rising in India because most people need more idea jobs and not just an income that helps in the satisfaction of basic needs (Singh, 81). As the entire population yearns for the opportunity of getting good jobs, the gaps are few. Hence, the percentage of people in well-sustaining positions grows lower as the opportunities in the market remain few. The issue of unemployment is triggered by various factors, including illiteracy, poverty, population growth, and lack of adequate skills among educated youths.
The high population growth in developing countries results in a scarcity of jobs. Most people in developing countries don't limit birth rates, leading to high demographics. Consequently, the largest population of individuals in developing nations dwells in rural areas (Singh, 82). The places are too remote with limited or no access to job opportunities. The rapid increase in the number of people living in the states is not proportional to the invented jobs. The issue leads to unemployment, and the individuals depend on mere activities such as farming and fishing for livelihood. The chain of living in similar circumstances continuously affects all the incoming generations. Such individuals can't get the chance of exposure in urban areas to get better sources of income and enhance substantial lives. The high populations and dominance in rural areas result in high levels of unemployment.
High levels of illiteracy are also a significant cause of unemployment. The most significant demographic in developing countries is uneducated, resulting in a lack of professional skills required in most jobs (Singh, 83). The unaffordable prices of education cause illiteracy in most states. Although most people in the countries would like to acquire primary educations, they find themselves in confusion due to the battle between passion for knowledge and lack of capital. The individuals end up dropping out of school due to a lack of money to finance their studies. In other incidences, some individuals may study up to the high school level and fail to further their studies from that point.
