a.Details (7% Out of 10%) This term paper entitled Obey the Gods is complete in terms of formatting style with the name of the student, course number, name of professor, dates, but on account of the works cited section at the very end, it is missing. The sources and references from which the writer took the ideas of his input were not acknowledged in the end.
b.Assignment (10% Out of 10%) Yes, this paper fulfills the assignment, having explained well the contradictions, pros and cons of Plato’s statements. The grammar has only one minor error and the flow of the content is brilliant.
c.Audience (5% Out of 5%) The paper was written for students in Philosophy class and could also be read by other people who has an interest in the area of Philosophy.
d.Introduction (9% Out of 10%) The first line of the introduction was a pompous generalization, which could have been avoided by using clearer facts of the thesis. Thesis statement was placed at the end of the first paragraph and explained accurately. The introductory part excites the reader and gave a detail as to how the paper will proceed.
e.Thesis (15% Out of 15%) The thesis argument was a unique idea stating that “I will argue that what is really happening here is an insistence by Socrates that he be consistent with what he has done his whole life.” This argument appeared at the beginning of the paper, first paragraph and not the usual pro and con argument. It stands middle ground, explaining a deeper understanding of the facts.
f.Topic sentences (1% Out of 5%) There were no provision of topic sentences in this paper.
g.Evidence (18% Out of 20%) The points made by the author were defined and detailed with supporting evidences explaining why Plato acted in such a way that his words seemed to be contradictory to one another. However, the proofs and evidences could have been explained more.
h.Avoiding Unnecessary Summaries (15% Out of 15%) This term paper was accurate, concise and complete in terms of direct explanations.
