A Lot of Bosses Don’t Care About Their Employees
Different workplaces provide unique and conducive environments for their employees to ensure the achievement of organizational goals. This environment depends a lot on the manner in which power is shared within the workplace. The bosses should ensure that the subordinates follow all the company rules and regulations when carrying out their duties. This varies from one organization to the other, and therefore, research shows that most of the bosses don't care about their employees by treating them unfairly.
One of the key indications that a boss does not care about their employees is a situation whereby the employees do not get support for ongoing projects and do not get feedback from their bosses. This is an indication of ignorance on the side of the bosses and can be a source of poor performance for the employee. An example is a case whereby an employee sends an email to their boss updating them about the progress of a specific project. In the email, they request the boss's permission to carry on with the project or maybe be given any additional information that needs to be included in the project. The boss sees the email and does not respond to it. This forces the employee to work on it using their best knowledge possible because it is clear that the boss does not care about the employee or the project.
Another indication is a case whereby the employee does not get fair compensation for their hard work. This has been happening in many companies, especially during the employee appraisal process. The bosses end up making biased compensations based on how well they are connected to specific employees. Therefore, the most hardworking employees end up getting little incentives which is an indication that the bosses do not care about them. This happens in a company that I used to work for. Employees were required to work an overtime, but at the end of the project, the compensations involved the allocation of different amounts of incentives yet everyone had contributed equally to the project. A caring boss would compensate every employee according to their efforts.
