Introduction: If you could change any U.S. domestic policy today, what would it be? For this activity, choose a policy you would like to change, submit a brief explanation of the policy you would like to change, and identify three references to support this policy change. This is the same policy you will use to write your Final Reflection assignment (due next week).

Based on the United States Department of Labor, the federal minimum wage is $7.25 per hour. Employers are entitled not to go below this threshold when compensating their workers. Numerous states have implemented minimum wage laws, and employers are subject to both the federal and state minimum wage regulations. However, the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) does not mention how workers should collect their commissions or wages. Some American states with high minimum wages are California with $15 per hour, Massachusetts with $14.25 per hour, and Washington with $14.49 per hour (U.S. Department of Labor, 2022). The federal minimum wage should be increased.
Although many states continue to raise their minimum wages, the federal government has not revised its rates. Besides, the new rates should be $15 per hour. The U.S. Labor Department should know that the cost of living has been rising, and its change should be proportional to the set minimum wage (Soergel & Clarke, 2021). For instance, the amount of money that individuals spend on household products has increased since the federal minimum wage was updated.
