Whenever an individual is charged with criminality, they should look for an attorney to assist them in framing a defense to their charges. An attorney acts as an ally responsible for safeguarding their constitutional rights. Unfortunately, not all charges and accusations are similar because various measures are considered. For instance, the accused person's age is one of the components considered in justice court systems. This paper reviews the similarities and differences between juvenile and adult justice systems.
Both systems share some similarities. Both juveniles and adults can be retained in pretrial detention facilities (Siegel and Welsh 315). Pretrial detention is important in securing the appearance at the trial of the defendant at flight dangers and secures the community from additional criminal activities of the charged individual.
