For my US History from 1877 class i was given the following task:
The U.S. government created an advertising campaign to persuade Americans to support the war effort. Research the reasons why the government needed to sell the people in the war. Then design an effective campaign in a 1-page essay (250 words) for rallying people’s support and create your own flyer designed to appeal to the American public to support the war effort. For this flyer, you are encouraged to include or create images and graphics for your campaign.
The essay portion of your work must follow the guidelines below:

It has a fully developed thesis.
Ideas are stated clearly and easy to understand.

The United States of America (USA) government created an advertising campaign to persuade its citizens to support the war. One of the primary reasons why the government needed to sell the people in the war was to ensure that many Americans joined the army. Posters and words were used to influence the majority of individuals to participate in the war. Besides, the government wanted people to be focused so that they can contribute to the war in all ways. For example, during the war individuals are needed to manufacture and maintain guns, bullets, planes, and feed soldiers.
The aggressive campaign to advertise the war was meant to facilitate public support.
