I can’t entirely agree that the generation that grew up during the Great Depression and World War II is the Greatest Generation for various reasons. The Greatest Generation describes individuals who were born between 1901 and 1925. The term derives from the fact they survived the Great Depression in the 1930s and would subsequently fight for their nation in the second world war. In addition, the term describes individuals portrayed united willpower towards the greater good for their nation and humanity, not only by their role in the military, but also the contribution that millions of households made towards the war cause. Nevertheless, this generation does not deserve to be termed the Greatest Generation since it comprises youths guilty of honesty and morality violations than ever before.
