Students should attend a traditional 4-year college right after graduating high school because of the various benefits that come with attending college such as broader career, financial, and networking opportunities. Numerous studies indicate that college graduates are more likely to earn higher than those with a high school diploma only. Individuals with tertiary education tend to become financial stable owing to the broader number of employment opportunities availed by a bachelor’s degree as opposed to a high school diploma. A majority of jobs require a college degree and training beyond high school and therefore those with a postsecondary education have more economic benefits necessary to get married, own a home, and retire with benefits (Dews).
