Witch/Wizard/Magic Creative Short Story
Marberry is a remote village in Alaska that has been the subject of many discussions over the years due to the events there. As a result, the village was also known as "Marblood," perhaps due to the stories that the villagers used to hunt down and kill any person accused of being a witch or wizard. The villages conducted witch hunts for many years before the practice was banned since many innocent women and children suffered from the acts (Carroll, 2018). With time a new generation of villagers was born, and the witches and wizards vacated into the deep part of the woods while using a magical charm to keep strangers aware of their safe enclave.
The village was a convenient stopover for the lone traveler to dine and wine. A few people also stopped by the village to seek the services of the witches who lived in the forest that surrounded the Northern part of Marberry. However, it was risky since the villagers did not support witchcraft. The witches were well known for their prowess in magic spells. One of the most popular witches was Christabel. She was renowned for shouting 'fear,' and her voice could be heard across the entire land. Children and grown-ups alike feared her, and for many, it was even impossible to mention her name; otherwise, it would lead to unfortunate events. 
The Gregory family suffered a lot. Christabel had a conflict with the Gregory family since the great grandfather was a witch hunter responsible for wiping out Christabel's family. A popular tale in the village was that Christabel's family had been hanged due to the rampant reports about witchcraft. In return, Christabel swore to harm Gregory's wealthy family and lived on a hill. They did not believe they could be harmed since they were wealthy, and Gregory senior was the chief of police in the small village. Christabel tried to kidnap Gregory's young daughter, but her plans failed after the villagers accosted and burned her house. She was forced to hide and live in the forest to avoid further conflicts with the villages, and she even did a spell to make it harder for the locals to notice her whenever she went into the village to buy supplies.
Today was like any other day when Christabel arrived in the village. However, she soon noticed that a calamity had occurred in the village. Based on reports, a strange disease was affecting the villagers, and Gregory's family had suffered the most.
