Introduction
Today, the world has become extremely competitive, that leaders require some traits to stay relevant. A leader represents others in times of crisis and acts creatively in challenging situations. Various leaders have exhibited excellent skills of leadership both politically and managerial. Typically, a good example of an outstanding leader is “Barack Obama.” Obama is an exceptional leader whose leadership has yielded numerous benefits to the people. Obama exemplifies excellent leadership skills in the way he builds bonds of empathy with citizens, transformation, and communication abilities.
Transformation Leadership
After the Independence, American presidents followed almost the same doctrines in their reigns, which became a bit irritating. In this case, voters needed something new that would bring change. In the eight-year tenure, President Obama portrayed his transformational abilities, which enabled him to become the voters' favorite. Transformational leadership involves finding a new working approach as opposed to keeping the status quo. According to Kouzes and Posner, no leader can achieve greatness by merely accepting the status quo. While in his service Obama established various strategies that can help the US to improve the healthcare system. Besides, Obama links with others to motivate them, and endorse the agenda of change, thus contributing to making his country a better place. Notably, he used this skill to engage all citizens in his leadership, which resulted in the introduction of Obamacare, an act that calls for everyone to have access to healthcare. Therefore, with the skill of transformation, Obama turns to be an exceptional leader.
