The track “Married Life” in the animated film Up started at the time [07:27], and it marked the start of Carl and Ellie’s married life. It was the track that played when they got married and started to build their own home. They were childhood friends whose love and friendship had grown, and they got married and built a life together (Docter). While the film has a great set of compiled soundtracks, “Married Life” was one of the most prominent tracks that stuck to me, even with the lack of lyrics. The tempo of the track is cheery, and it signals that the scenes are a good and reminiscent feel. The melody itself is very vibrant, and it reflects Carl and Ellie’s adventurous life and their adventure goals. The instrumental was used effectively with the scene since it just showed snippets of Carl and Ellie’s life together on a positive note, despite the transition into the sad portion of the couple's lives.
