Textual analysis involves the examination of different texts to determine or better understand the meanings of messages. As a form of art, textual analysis is qualitative in nature and varies based on the researcher's intentions (Loughran & Mcdonald, 2016). Consequently, textual analysis can be implemented in several subject areas, such as accounting, to identify patterns and attributes that can assert the meanings of intended or unintended messages.
