Class Presentation: Each student must choose one case from the list maintained by the instructor. All cases can be found in the textbook required for the class.

This list is available every class day at student request.
Each student is responsible for two things: preparing a written summary of the case, which is due on the date the case is discussed in class, and leading the discussion of the case in class. Each half of the assignment is equally important. Students should check the syllabus to see when their case is scheduled and should use the format for this assignment provided under the Assignments link in Blackboard. If you do not sign up for a case, or if you do not attend class on the date your presentation is due, you will receive a zero for this assignment.
Assignment Submission: All course assignments, including extra credit, are to be submitted in paper format. Emailed submissions will not receive credit, and they will be deleted when received without further response or advice. Paragraph 1.) Who are the parties in the case? What court is hearing this case? What are the facts leading up to the opinion that you are reading? What is the main legal dispute in the case?
Paragraph 2.) How does the court address the dispute? Who wins?
Paragraph 3.) Do you agree or disagree with the court's decision? Why?
Please remember to submit this summary on the day that we discuss your case in class. You will lose four points for every day that it is late, and you will not receive any credit if it is more than two weeks late. The summary should be typed and double-spaced.
