Bank of America Corporation (BAC) or simply Bank of America is an American company that offers both banking and financial services. BAC was founded in 1904 by one Amadeo Peter Giannini and has since then had its headquarters in Charlotte, North Carolina (WSJ par. 1). BAC products and services can be classified into four distinct categories: global banking, consumer banking, global wealth and investment management, and global market, with each segment performing specific functions ideal for a banking and financial institution (WSJ par. 1). The list of BAC’s subsidiaries both direct and indirect is magnificently large, with quite a number of them concentrated in the United States while others are spread across the world. The company has hired more than 200,000 employees and provides services to more than 66 million consumers and small businesses (BAC 16). BAC is undoubtedly one of the most successful and largest banking institutions in the world with an average growth rate of over 4.5% in revenue as of the 2019 financial year. 
BAC operates under the leadership of Brian T. Moynihan who serves as the president and the lead Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Moynihan, born in Marietta Ohio (1959), is a talented CEO whose career started in the sector of legal justice in 1984 ,before embarking on a management career in the year 1999 (ChiefExecutive.net par .1). His career at BAC started in 2004 when he held the position of President, Global Wealth and Investment Management which is one of the core segments of BAC. The epitome of his success at BAC was in 2010 when he ascended to the position of President and CEO which he has maintained until date (ChiefExecutive.net par .1).
