A lawsuit against the National Labor Relations Act of 1935 (NLRA) the plaintiff who is the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) arrived at a judgment. The judgment was that Jones & Laughlin Steel Corporation had gone against that Act. It was by engaging in unfair labor practices affecting interstate commerce CITATION Law12 \l 4105 (Baum 2012). Jones & Laughlin Steel was then charged with discriminating against the members of the union. It was concerning the tenure and hiring, as well as interfering with the self-organization of the employees. They were forcing them to work against their will as well as intimidating them in connection with the dismissal of individual employees CITATION Lee13 \l 4105 (Walker 2013).
The NLRB issued an order to the defendant to desist from the coercion as well as further discrimination. The defendant was also ordered to recall ten of the employees and compensate them for their lost pay. The defendant would also not dismiss or discriminate against the members of the union or those with a desire to become members.
