Question 1:
According to Helberstam, the queer way of life is about using time and space that develop separately that opposes the traditions of family, giving birth, and being heterosexual. It is important to consider queerness as a separate sexuality because they have different views and it becomes the way for the LGBTs to be describe themselves in the past years. Furthermore, it corrects the impression that they live radical lives.
Question 2
Halberstam describes the queer way of life as something that allows people to free themselves from the limitations of the norms. In addition to this, this way of life is able to control behavior and human development with the objective of redeeming those from a bad childhood to a better adulthood.
Question 3
The emergence of queer time took place towards the end of the 20th century which was started by the gay communities whose existence might have been decreased by the spread of AIDS. The continuous existence of the disease puts focus on the place, the moment, and because of the threat that there is no future for those with AIDS.
Question 4
In terms of race, the existence of queer time supports biased differentiation and it could become a tool used for domination. Race is a factor in the queer subcultures because the production of alternative temporalities allow the participants to believe that their futures can be predicted. The implication that logics which are present beyond life experiences such as birth, marriage, birth, reproduction and death is used to make these predictions. The poor people and those of color experience premature death in a place where drugs are more accessible and health care is limited.

Queer space and time are useful for this assessment because there is a development of movement, location, and identification. It shows that perceiving queerness as a product of grotesque practices, abnormal day-to-day routines, threatens a person’s way of life instead of their sexuality.

Halberstam describes family time as the usual routine of daily life and this is ruled over by the needs of the children and it is linked to the belief towards the health of their children and conducive environment for them.
