Ways designers and planners can make eco-friendly houses
Planners and designers can reduce energy consumption and waste in use of buildings by designing and planning energy efficient houses. Building energy efficient houses can be done through utilizing solar power which is a cheap renewable source of energy. Solar power can be used for cooking, heating water in pools and tubs or be converted into electricity for additional uses like lighting and heating air. Planners and designers can put mechanisms for recuperating rainwater for lawn maintenance and other domestic water uses. Insulating the building to reduce heat loss during winter and protect against overheating in summer. Efficient landscaping also positions the house in a way it allows more sunlight during winter and protects it from direct sunlight during summer. Using of eco-friendly building materials will help to reduce the impact of construction on the environment.
