Jackson Pollock's greatness is measured in modern art styles, which redefines drawing and painting categories and new ways of describing and analyzing portraits or pictorial space. In the Museum of Modern Art, New York city Jackson Pollock mounted a critical exhibition entitled Picasso. The production made Pollock recognize the powers of European modernism, which had rejected his artwork and embraced American art.
To diversify his artwork, he started new semi-abstract totemic compositions. During the First World war, unique art styles were developed mainly in New York, which influenced a new path in the artwork. During the mid-1940s, Jackson Pollock introduced the kind of art called drip painting. The painting represented one of the original styles of art in that century, and also it influenced the change of style in artworks in America. The new art forms suggested that life forces in nature by itself. Most of the artworks done by Jackson were either laid on the walls or set on the floor instead of fixing them on an easel.[1 Cole, Simon A. The unique thing about Jackson Pollock's artwork is that he could allow the paint to drip from the paint can. In the drawing, he added the depth of the picture by using knives and sticks rather than what everyone was using, which is the paintbrush. In the image, Jackson has also used a method called -overpainting. This kind of painting from Jackson avoids instances where distinct points are observed, and hence no clear emphasis can be put on the image. This image created using the design has no relationship to the canvas used to work on the painting.
Another unique feature of this painting is that Jackson has not used any dimensions to ensure that the image fits in the frame; he has trimmed or cropped the image. Autumn Rhythm, completed in 1950, is a picture of nonrepresentation with a thin paint applied to it. From the image, stretched canvas lay flat on the floor instead of being put on a prop. In this image, there is no central point of focus. The size of Autumn Rhythm is 37 inches wide, and it is full of dynamic visual rhythms.
