Project Summary:
The education system in America has undergone a transformation since its inception in the 17th century. Nowadays, age, gender, race, ethnic or religious affiliations are not barriers to attaining education, and there fundamental human rights are incorporated in the system. A historical analysis of the system will help dissect the topic and outline the milestones that can be used as a measure of success. The role of education in people's lives is determined by their career choices and the system's support. Students of all ages have to be introduced to various studies and topics to choose the most interesting ones and decide their preferred profession. The education system is based on a narrow-down approach where individuals have choices, and the role that tutors and parents can play is guidance. There are a myriad of professions to choose from and multiple ways that students can achieve their goals. Such steps and options cannot be viewed as successes unless the education systems' history is understood.
History
Education was first practiced in America by the puritans that had broken from the Church of England in the 17th century. They believed it was closely related to Roman Catholic practices, and they had to separate themselves by going to American where there was religious freedom.
