Response to Madeline
Madeline’s choice of resources is fascinating and shows the different books that people in distinct situations can use. For instance, my colleague makes it clear that for life and spiritual coaching, one should use the book “Where is God When It Hurts” by Phillip Yancey. From my perspective, it appears as if the book motivates and encourages people during hard moments in life (Yancey, 2019). Yancey incorporates his ideas with the Bible verses to prove that the suggested points had been tested and approved. The most significant thing that Madeline emphasizes is not losing hope despite how the situation might be difficult. Marilyn Hickey’s “Break the Generation Curse” is another significant book that can help people to overcome challenges. I agree with Madeline that “Game Behind the Game: The Art of Mastering Bullshit” by Russ Parr is a critical resource in career coaching. Overall, the best way to maintain a list of resources that would help different clients is by having an electronic database where one saves the links of books based on their subjects.

I concur with you that coachees must be willing to share relevant information for them to obtain solutions to their problems. One of the most crucial things is to understand one’s behaviors and personalities before coming up with an appropriate answer.
