Renata Bentes de Oliveira Lyrio gives crucial points about the benefits of on-site and off-site supervision. I agree with my peer that on-site supervision is effective for understanding specific organizational procedures. Besides, on-site supervisors are knowledgeable and have experience on how to navigate things in the right manner. Kenta Asakura and Katherine Maurer assert that supervision gives clinicians an optimal space to acquire more skills and knowledge, which helps in addressing problems related to social justice (Asakura & Maurer, 2018). In that light, my peer is correct by saying that on-site supervision enables individuals to have a unique understanding of the challenges that one might encounter and offers effective solutions based on the supervisor’s experience.
On the contrary, off-site supervision is essential since it enables a person to have space for reflecting potential professional implications. Specifically, some things require one to sit back to understand their importance or limitations.
