What do you think is the purpose of research in the social sciences?
Social sciences deals with the study of relationships and the society among people living in that particular society. Additionally, social sciences includes demography, commerce among others. Social science research is an action of collecting, evaluating, and interpreting data for a variety of economic, educational, and political purposes. In social sciences, researchers are supposed to have a deep understanding of the methods that are applicable in social science research. Research in Social sciences are very important because they assist the society in making laws that benefit the people and the government. Additionally, research studies are also used to analyze the trends of the past and also forecast the future. Gschwend & Schimmelfennig (2007) states that “a research in social sciences assists in enhancing the development of the society by enhancing creativity and innovation. Therefore this contributes to the up-gradation of the society. Since research gives people knowledge, people are assured that they have power to change the society. Innovation and creativity in the society assist in formulating new ideas and theories that assist in the development of the society. Research also assist in smooth functioning of the society by enhancing social order and control.
 What does research design entail?
A research design are techniques and methods that a researches uses when conducting a study. The research design entails the overall strategy that an individual chooses to integrate by use of several components of the study in a rational and logical manner.
