Restorative justice (RJ) is typically accredited to be a movement that is focused on transforming how justice is incorporated in communities. RJ consists of a two-sided process where wrongdoers and others impacted by crime come together to participate in a conversation categorized by mutual decision-making and respect (Scheuerman, 2018). Rehabilitation in a restorative justice approach plays several roles that help the offenders reintegrate into their respective societies. Rehabilitation concentrates on correcting and enhancing offenders' functional capabilities to achieve safe goals in an individually satisfying and socially tolerable way.
