Don't let the professor see that I'm plagiarizing, don't use too difficult words.

Length: 1-2 pages double spaced (roughly 300-600 words)

Format: Times New Roman, 12-point font, normal margins

Over the last week, we’ve discussed how & why “race is real the way Wednesday is real, and it’s made up the way Wednesday is made up.”

The point of this aphorism, I told you, is that race is a “social construction,” not a biological fact, but it nonetheless remains an important marker of inequality in our society.

In this assignment I want you to unpack the above statement for me. What does it mean to say that “race is real the way Wednesday is real, and it’s made up the way Wednesday is made up.” In your answer please use at least one example from the readings or documentaries we used in class.

That is if racial divides and differing conduct depending on the perceived racial disparities continue in the absence of a biological imperative of race. What is considered authentic regarding race is the outcome of what has occurred and continues to occur in society (Lopez, 1994). Therefore, the absolutist physical concept of race is a social creation, about earlier, and now updated, science, since the scientific advances have not validated concepts of human racial extracts as defining the qualities of one or another race.
And, if individuals of a particular minori...
