For my final paper, I am considering exploring the topic of gun control and investigating public opinion on this issue. With numerous mass shootings occurring in recent years, the debate over gun control has become even more heated, with both proponents and opponents of gun control holding strong opinions on the matter (Gius, 2014). As a result, understanding public opinion on gun control is critical for politicians and policymakers in order to effectively address this issue.
Those who oppose gun control argue that the Second Amendment gives them the right to own and carry guns without any restrictions, while those who support gun control believe that reasonable limitations should be placed on gun ownership and usage.
In my final paper, I aim to investigate public opinion on gun control by examining historical and current polling data.
