Every university in the world sells itself to potential applicants in many ways. Each tries to make its strengths obvious, so that applicants will have an easier time when it comes to making their choices. However, few can replicate what they indicate they are good at. One university that stands out because of its commitment to growing the body of knowledge is NYU. In 2019, twenty-three NYU faculty members were included in the list of Highly Cited Researchers list. This list sets the chosen few apart from the rest. It mainly details the faculty members who continually influence their field. With 23 members of its faculty, NYU had managed to force its way into the list of universities I will consider come application time. Furthermore, the inclusion of Raymond S. Niaura, Professor of Social and Behavioral Sciences, made it impossible not to have NYU as a probable destination for me.
