Societies around the world are characterised by different interactions across equally diverse social constructs, such as gender, sex, ethnicity, and even status. The outlined social constructs tend to inform and dictate how individuals or groups interact in a society. The social, political, and economic domains of society also tend to dictate how such interactions and integrations occur within the outlined social constructs. However, the social, political, and economic dimensions of society tend to reinforce an integral social construct of status. In essence, an individual's or group's status in society greatly influences how they interact with other members of society. Defined as the position an individual holds in society, status makes for a powerful social construct that even dictates how an individual communicates with other members of society.
