Your final exam essay gives you the opportunity to identify ethical problems faced by individuals or communities and propose reasonable solutions. You will apply theories we covered in this course, and interpret various issues using a number of ethical theoretical constructs, both traditional and contemporary. You will analyze, evaluate, and distinguish between ethical theories to critique contemporary issues. This activity aligns with module outcomes 1 and 2.
Your essay should be 1,000–1,200 words (4–5 pages), double-spaced, in APA format, and with 3 or more credible sources. Begin your essay by choosing one issue from the list below, and then choose a total of 6 theories (from the subsequent 3 options) to analyze your issue.

Besides, the relationship between the healthcare provider and patients posed ethical concerns that affect the health outcomes of patients. Moral questions arise in all contexts of health care providers, and they require the providers of these services to understand the essential methods and principles of ethical decision-making processes through various theoretical approaches. These ethical theories can clarify these ethics within healthcare systems and procedures.
Utilitarian Theories
This theory states that people’s actions that are often devoted to ethical decision-making conditions are determined to portray their moral correctness to the degree in which they advocate for more pleasure than misery for all the individuals affected by human actions. Conversely, people’s activities that are dedicated to making morally correct decisions are determined to the moral fallacy to the extent that they produce more unhappiness than happiness. The agents who are taking part in the decision-making situation should not consider themselves as less or more essential than others when calculating happiness or sadness (Gandjour& Lauterbach,2003). In healthcare, utilitarian theories are justly standardized to ensure that health care providers are focusing on making the patient happy without compromising their happiness. The health care professionals care to make the decision that is for the best interest of patients. The reason for making these decisions is to protect the interests of patients.
Virtue Ethics
This theory is the most influential theory that explains the determinative factors of human characters. These factors determine whether a person is morally correct or wrong. People’s personality reflects their moral virtues. They include but not limited to, honesty, justice, compassion, temperance, justice, courage, and generosity. Individuals who possess these personalities have a steadfast disposition, and people can rely on them because they show good characters. Therefore, they are committed and morally right in making decisions such as health care decisions that address the ethical issues in medicate (Bolsin, Faunce & Oakley, 2005).
