Bangladesh is a southern Asia country that is characterized by many waterways. The means of navigation that is commonly used is the river through the bout. This is attributed to the fact that rivers in the country are navigable. It is geographically located to the border Indian state of West Bengal to the west and Assam to the north. Bangladesh is ranked as the eleventh in the market middle economic income. Its economic status is the developing market economy. The rank according to nominal term and purchasing power parity is 35th and 30th, respectively.
Bangladesh Background Information
Bangladesh has considered as the middle income since its GDP per capita income surpasses a given income. In 2017, their GDP per capita was $4,200 (Chowdhury et al., 2020). In 1980 Bangladesh was made an Islamic religion, but in 2010 the court ruled it out and was developed to a secular state. Mostly, Bangladesh has been considered flawed since they are associated with many natural calamities like drought, flooding, lack of resources, less export demand, and other historical factors. Also, it has no mineral apart from gas.
However, it is a safe country associated with very few criminal cases. Pickpocketing and snatching are a rear case, although it does occur sometimes. This guarantees a safe tourist attraction area for most tourist. The typical liked food includes the Paratha, Kachchi Biryani, Bhuna Khichuri, Patla Khichuri, Rice and many others. This testy food is sometimes a tourist attraction site. A foreigner comes in to enjoy the cultural food products in Bangladesh. Therefore, the sectors have a significant impact on the country's economic state since revenue foreigners go direct to development purposes.
Sustainable Development Goals Implementation and Review committee lead by the Principal coordinator (SDGs) have been used to get feedback from the VNRs. VNRs indicates that some SDGs have been achieved asset to be in 2020. The poverty state in Bangladesh is indicated to have reduced from 40 percent in 2005 to 20.5 percent in 2019. During the period, life expectancy rises from 65 to 73 years at birth. Gender parity has been achieved for both primary and secondary education levels, raising the literacy rate from 53.7 percent to 73.9 percent (Chowdhury et al., 2020). The MDG target of hunger in Bangladesh has been reduced from 66 percent in 1990 to 32.6 percent in 2014. Furthermore, the rate declined in 2017 to 22 percent.
The country's economic status has maintained its economy and has been rising gradually. The set rate for 2020 was to be at 5 percent, surpassing in 2019 by 5.85 percent. During the same period, most industries in the country have increased their GDP from 25.4 percent to 31.2 percent. The government's main aim is to supply electric power to all the states in the country.
The country, however, has been facing some challenges, as stated by the VNRs. The country has managed to sustain the food rate in the country by producing staple food. This is to ensure that all the citizen gets an adequate supply of the raw lifestyle. The main issue is that the country...
