Introduction
Social media, on most occasions, has played a critical role in connecting people over the world. About the importance of social media in communication, couples have found it possible to communicate with each other even if they are far away. People use social media to communicate and pass some feelings to their loved ones. However, in most trending cases, social media has led to increased fighting among couples. Some individuals are adapted to the social media system to the extent that they find little time for their loved ones. Besides, social media provides some useful information that has helped several couples better their marriage life. In this context, social media has been outlined to show its positive attributes to the couples and its negative contributions, leading to a conclusion whether it is harmful or useful to relationships.
Scholarly Source on Importance of Social Media in Relationship
In an article known as the Social Media Use and Its Impacts on Relationships and Emotions by Spencer Palmer Christensen, the other illustrates the benefits of social media in a relationship (Christensen, 2018). The importance includes connecting the family members over long distances, nurturing one's behavior before engaging in a relationship. Besides, social media makes it possible for family members to keep a healthy relationship by acquiring some essential techniques on maintaining a stable relationship in the social media platform. According to Palmer, he illustrates that through the use of social media, couples and other members of the family have found it possible to communicate and pass their feelings to their loved ones even if they are far away.
