A well-documented tendency in the population's ageing suggests that by 2050, there will probably be 2 billion individuals worldwide who are 60 or older (Lazarus & CPA, 2023). As a result of this demographic shift, there has been a rise in the need for elder care since families play a significant role in supporting their elderly loved ones. Elder caregiving may be a rewarding knowledge. However, it also has its share of difficulties that may affect the physical, mental, and financial health of those providing it. This essay will look at the typical difficulties that family cares encounter when delivering elder care, such as the physical demands, emotional pressure, financial pressure, time limits, and care burnout, and it will also discuss the important role of legislation and funding to help caretakers in their essential job.
Taking care of an ageing family member may be physically taxing, particularly if they have mobility limitations or need help with everyday chores. Feeding, bathing, dressing, and using the restroom may all require assistance from carers.
