Introduction
There are various psychological disorders that are associated with various psychotic episodes evident in individuals like Tina (Wiley, 2015). This paper provides an analysis of a case study in which Tina was taken to a counsellor with symptoms of depression. The paper hypothesises that Tina and her mother are superstitious about the involvement of witchcraft through the belief that her boyfriend is using it to trap her. Her change in moods may be associated with a psychological disorder that is most likely depression as they stated (Grabowski et al., 2004).
Analysis
Historical and cross-cultural perspectives that may impact the diagnosis and treatment
Tina believes that her history of taking methamphetamines may have greatly influenced her psychotic behaviour because of the negative impacts associated with drugs. I believe that continued abuse of drugs like methamphetamines may greatly influence the development of psychological disorders in individuals (Wiley, 2015). They believe that her boyfriend may be using the witchcraft on her so as to control her (Long, 2016). They even state that because Tina has been hearing voices commanding her to act hygienically, she is going to visit a medicine man that can get rid of the witchcraft powers. These historical and cross-cultural perspectives of psychopathology from Tina and her mother may greatly influence the potential diagnosis and treatment of Tina.

This is because, during the counselling session, Tina stated that over the past several months has been taking methamphetamines in very large amounts. According to the diagnostic criteria, prolonged intake of stimulants like methamphetamines is likely to induce the development of psychological disorders that may seem like depression as well as hearing of strange voices (Moeller, Schmitz & Steinberg, 2007).
