Reflection: Programs for God's Kingdom
Jesus's teaching guides Christians, especially in developing programs that will help glorify the kingdom of God. The program I thought of for this assignment is helping feed and clothe children hosted in children's homes. These are children whose parents cannot provide basic needs for them due to poverty or diseases, or they may have died. Therefore, occupants of children's homes will use this program to benefit needy children and help fulfil Jesus' teachings on helping the needy.
Occupants of children's homes will benefit from this program. They include the caregivers and the children hosted in the facilities. In most cases, children's homes are established by people of goodwill who wish to provide a good life to the unfortunate members of society. Their funding comes from their resources and well-wishers, and such a program will greatly boost the caretakers and owners of the children's homes.
However, the greatest beneficiaries will be the children hosted in the facilities. Every person deserves to live a good life that involves getting food, shelter, and education. Helping children's homes with food and clothes means the children will have some basic needs catered for (Power & Taylor, 2018). This should give them the energy to concentrate on their education and other basic needs like good health. Therefore, the program will be used by children's homes, benefiting the administrators and the children under the care of these facilities.
