In Buddhism, Dharma is a term used to describe the teachings or doctrines of Buddha. The goals of these teaching are to assist the followers to overcome suffering and a sense of dissatisfaction in life. Initially, the doctrine was taught through spoken words, and were for many decades never recorded in any document. Dhamma is interpreted as “to uphold,” which shows its centrality in the doctrine of Buddhists. For many Buddhists, they believe that Dharma upholds their religions as well as the universe (BBC, n.d.).
In Buddhism, Samsara refers to the beginningless cycle of repeated birth, mundane existence, and dying again. This process is a part of the suffering that people have to endure. Therefore, Dharma assist Buddhists to endure the suffering and dissatisfaction in the cycle of Samsara. It pl...
