This report is intended to show that Mrs. Stephanie G. used undue influence on an elderly and lonely widow, Kathy M. She did so by inducing Kathy to alter her will and be included in it, albeit there being no blood relation between them. The two got acquainted after Mrs. Stephanie and her family moved into the neighborhood where Kathy and her husband, Robert, resided. Sooner than later, the newcomer introduced herself to Kathy. The old lady was thrilled to have a new friend, and what's more, she was particularly fascinated by Mrs. Stephanie's twins, who she found charming and adorable. Within no time, the two forged a strong camaraderie. Mrs. Stephanie made it a habit to invite Kathy for dinner every Tuesday. This must have profoundly impacted the lonely lady whose husband had since passed and whose only daughter seldom made any effort to communicate with her. This last aspect filled her with profound misgivings and made her sorely bitter. This is because she and her late husband, Robert, had sacrificed immensely to ensure that their daughter, Jackie, got the best upbringing any child could bargain for.
They, for instance, had painstakingly seen her through medical school. However, after graduating and becoming a pediatrician, she ostensibly neglected her parents, hurting their sensibilities significantly.
Robert and Kathy had met back in 1965 when the former was still in law school, and after marrying the following year, Robert was financially dependent on Kathy's parents. However, their life changed for the better when Robert graduated and secured a job at the prosecutor's office.
