A reflex response to a certainly occurring or unconditioned stimulus in a classical condition is combined with an unconditioned stimulus. I tend to get irritated whenever I wake up, which contributed to changing my alarm to my favorite song since I believe it would make me wake up a bit happier. Unfortunately, that has not been the case because I usually become frustrated whenever I hear the song. In this instance, the Unconditioned response is becoming irritated to waking up. On the other side, the music is the unconditioned stimulus.
A neutral stimulus consists of a response before it is conditioned; in my situation is the song. A neutral stimulus tends to be associated with an optimistic stimulus that initially causes the response before conditioning. This conditioned response adversely affects my favorite song.
