The nature vs. nurture debate has been in existent for several decades now. Several philosophers have weighed in on this question, but only one is credited with coming up with the term nature-nurture. Sir Francis Galton in his 1874 publication called English Men of Science: Their Nature and Nurture argued that people develop behavioral traits as well as intelligence through hereditary factors.
