The human brain is one of the most complex organs, which has attracted different myths. One of these myths is the claim that "We use 10% of our brain." The myth suggests that humans do not utilize their brains fully, but only a tiny portion. The myth emerged because of the speculation that humans do not exploit the full potential of their capacity (Arora, 2020). The shortcomings that humans experience are subject to their mental abilities. Perhaps this is the explanation for the belief that humans have untapped potential, which they can unlock through activating the mind.
Despite all the arguments, the claim is a myth because humans use their brains entirely. The only exception when humans do not fully utilize their brains is when brain damage results in the dysfunction of some brain parts. The knowledge I have acquired about the brain supports the claim that humans use 10% of their brains as a myth.
