In psychology, multiple relationships include when a professional or therapist is engaged in more than one relationship with their client. In this regard, besides the psychologist and the client dealing professionally, they can either be related as relatives, friends, or teacher-student. In other circumstances, the clients' issue crosses its path with the psychologist. It is vital to note that not all multiple relationships are unethical based on the nature of the relationship (Goodine, 2017).
