Globalization is the process that encompasses the course and consequences of interaction, connection, and integration among people, companies, and governments that arises from international investments and trade (Al-Rodhan & Stoudmann, 2006). On the other hand, global stratification implies the unequal distribution of resources among nations (Rothschild). This type of stratification occurs when hierarchical groups are formed and treated differently. Global stratification shows the levels of inequality in the world. Stratification shows the various economic differences that affect resources, privileges, and opportunities positioned according to social hierarchy in various countries. Global stratification has both positive and negative impacts on the local culture according to the country's wealth. Highly industrialized countries have a high standard of living. Low industrialized countries have a low living standard and are economically vulnerable. People in the poorest nations live in harsh conditions and are exposed to malaria, Aids, and starvation. The rates of infant mortality in developing countries are too high due to poor prenatal and postnatal nutritional conditions. Global stratification's positive effect is that job opportunities are created for many people in third-world countries through outsourcing. There is a high unemployment rate in third-world countries; therefore, practicing outsourcing provides citizens jobs. A negative impact of global stratification is that it does not help third world countries improve their wealth. The overall income of the countries remains low compared to the rest of the world's standards.
