Lebni et al. (2020) embarked on a study to establish the relationship between internet addiction to signify the prolonged use of the internet and internetworking technologies and mental health as well as the corresponding effect on academic performances. The study used university students as the target population from both genders and was undertaken for a whole academic year, with a sample size of 447 students. Analytic methods used include Cochrane’s sample size formula and stratified random sampling. In addition, SPSS statistical tool was used to aid in analyzing the data. The result of the study revealed that there is a positive correlation between the prolonged use of the internet and depression and other mental health issues. Thus, Lebni et al.
