I have had severe communication difficulties in my social and academic communication. After having a consultation with a counselor, I realized that a number of negative issues, including my inability to concentrate and focus while communicating, are the root causes of my communication difficulties (Sturrock et al., 2022). With regular training and diagnostic sessions with the counsellor, I realized that one of the crucial aspects of communication difficulties is my inability to learn and memorize things at the usual speed. Moreover, the counselor also identified that this learning impairment forces me to focus only on the literal meaning of words. Hence, my counseling experience with a trained counselor significantly broadened my understanding of the underlying causes of my communication difficulties. While talking with the counselor, I realized that I failed to make or understand a reasonable argument and understood further psychological and social complications associated with my communication difficulties (Sturrock et al., 2022). Hence, this experience directed my attention toward the role of multiple factors in my communication problem. The counseling session with my trained counselor further helped me realize how the role of multiple personality factors shaped my inability to communicate effectively.
