The workplace has changed for good. In contrast to decades-long established conventions of 9-5 employment arrangements, work in 21st century is increasingly dynamic, flexible and unpredictable. The exponential growth of ICT innovations, coupled by radical changes of employment arrangements at workplace, has introduced what might is perhaps permenant changes in employer-worker and peer-to-peer relationships at workplace and beyond. Given current practices, more and more younger generations – so called Generations Y and Z – are joining workforce changing not only workforce makeup but also, more importantly, practices and habits current and future workers are embracing or likely to embrace. For one, generational gaps are a mainstay in labor literature and practices. The novelty in current workforce demographics is, however, more about perceptions of each generation to a different one and less about actual (and major differences).
