Question 1. The G& E Company intends to build a 47,000 seat baseball stadium, which is expected to be completed in time for the start of the 2014 season. It is expected that the project will commence on July 2011 and be completed on March 26, 2014, according to the work schedule and the project will take approximately 695 days. Because the work will be done from Monday to Friday and considering that there are holidays in between the months and weekends, the project will take longer. However, the work will still be completed in time ahead of the deadline.
Question 2. The main concern for any project is to stay on track to ensure that the project is completed within the stipulated time and budget.The project manager needs to figure out how long each task will take to complete to figure out the project's end date. The main critical path for this project is the roofing which should take an estimate of 180 days.This needs to be completed on time and the activities that are scheduled to be completed before roofing need to be reviewed for the project to run as scheduled. Any task that can take longer than expected the end date needs to be pushed back since some task can impact on the project end date. The critical path is to determine the longest length of time the project can take.
