1 What rights have you relinquished or given up? Was it worth it?
I have relinquished a bit of the freedom that I had in my previous occupation. I used to work as a data entry clerk for a certain organization before I shifted to being a nurse. As a data entry clerk, I was able to finish my duties on time as they were not piled up. After completing my duties, I would surf the internet or get together in the cafe with other employees and chat. When I came to be a nurse, the freedom I used to enjoy back then was limited as my input was needed most of the time. However, I cannot complain about relinquishing a bit of my freedom because I got to be productive and I am currently helping people unlike in my previous job where I passed the time either on the internet or chatting with friends.
2 What do you consider the greatest physical risk to people at your workplace (or school campus if not employed)? Is there plan to mitigate that risk?
The greatest physical risk to people at my workplace is falling. The staircases in my place of work have not been well constructed. Many individuals often trip and fall thus get injured. Additionally, the floors are slippery at times due to being late cleaning. A better solution to mitigate such risks would be for the management to ensure the staircases are fully constructed to guarantee the safety of employees. It also should ensure that the building is cleaned early enough before people get to work.
